“Democracy is a pathetic belief in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance.”
–H.L. Mencken.
Today is Election Day. Historically, it was the day that American voters went to the polls to participate in choosing our elected leaders. Here in Virginia, it is just the last day of Election Months.
Why do we need 45 days to vote? Answer: we don’t. Democrats do. It gives them more time to cheat.
I do urge all to vote, even if you disagree with my views. I think it is important to participate in the electoral process. That being written, however, it is incumbent upon the voter to educate himself, delving into the issues, and deciding which candidate is best for the country. Voting is not a mechanism for registering your support for your political “team”, or to reward he who promises to steal more of your neighbor’s money and give it to you.
If you do not know the candidates, the issues, the Constitution, and have at least a passable understanding of civics and current events, please do not vote. Because you are a moron. And we already have plenty of morons in the Washington, D.C. metro area. They are also called members of Congress.
“But the incontrovertible fact remains that the GOP is the only political force in the nation opposed to the slaughter of the unborn by abortion, opposed to the mass replacement, rape, and murder of American citizens by imported denizens of the Third World, opposed to the mutilation and butchery of healthy children’s healthy sex organs, opposed to discrimination against straight, white, American men, opposed to the denigration and destruction of the Christian faith, and opposed to open political violence targeting you and your family.
No, Republican leaders do not always achieve these goals as quickly, as urgently, or as forcefully as some of us may like and, yes, it’s true that some of the policies adopted by Republican leaders are problematic, but the GOP, for all its flaws, still remains the chief vehicle by which Christian moral principles may be implemented and enforced in the social and political order — and it remains the only political force in the nation actively defending the Christian moral principles that generation after generation of Americans have managed to implement and enforce in the social and political order.
Abortion remains the chief sacrament of the left, championed by the Democratic Party. So devoted is the Democratic Party to the butchering of unborn children that they call it “healthcare.”
As if carving up the healthy sex organs of healthy children and fashioning Frankengenitals out of cadaver meat weren’t sick enough, Democrats will gleefully strip you of custody of your children if you do not vociferously endorse this madness.
When a 31-year-old Christian husband and father [Charlie Kirk] is shot in the throat for expressing his conservative political views and inviting those with differing viewpoints to dialogue, the Democratic Party’s adherents and allies will celebrate and dance (or, if we are to take them at their word, urinate) on his grave.
When American women and children are raped and murdered (not always in that order) by illegal aliens hailing from decayed dumps, the Democratic Party will fight tooth and nail to give your tax dollars to those illegal aliens, all while replacing you in the workplace, in the housing market, and in the voting booth with those who have no right to be in this country, those who have no ties to this country, and those who hate you and your ancestors who built this country.
There is no equivocation or tergiversation. One political party is flawed and there are valid arguments against some of its policies; but those flaws may be rectified and those policies jettisoned or changed. The other party is hell-bent on the destruction of the Christian West and all those who would adhere to or even dare admire it.”
–S.A. McCarthy, The American Spectator (November 1, 2026).
In other words, these mid-term elections are about The Stupid Party v. The Evil Party. You can fix stupid. You cannot fix evil.
“Nearly one in three adults in Santa Ana cannot vote — the reality is that a large number of our residents are undocumented, are paying taxes, do work in our communities — People don’t feel represented by their government locally and federally. It’s clear, or one of the reasons is because they’re not allowed to vote — I think that is the most American thing to do, is to say that everybody who lives here, who cares about this community, has a voice. And by allowing noncitizen residents — to be able to participate in our government makes our city safer, makes our city more vibrant, and makes our communities stronger”
–Santa Ana, California City Councilman Thai Viet Phan (D.).
Speaking of morons. This woman is advocating that people who should not even be in this country, be permitted a say in how this country is run. That is beyond stupid.
“The Constitution leaves it to the states to determine when and where to hold elections, but it does not preclude the federal government from ensuring that only U.S. citizens 18 and older can vote in federal elections.
Officials in Arlington County, Virginia, a Democratic stronghold, also filed a lawsuit in federal court against the Justice Department and other agencies. Their goal is to bar federal agents from coming anywhere near polling places, even to collar illegal alien criminals.
The plaintiffs claim that voters would be intimidated if they spotted immigration authorities. Well, anyone ineligible to vote might certainly think twice about voting upon seeing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents outside the polls. Maybe that is not such a bad idea.
The lawsuit was filed with the help of two left-wing foundations, Democracy Forward and the Public Rights Project. Both are funded by leftist philanthropic groups, including the Tides network, which is funded by the George Soros family’s Open Society Foundation.

Democratic strategy appears to be threefold: Sow doubts about the elections in case Republicans win. Accuse anyone asking questions about election integrity in Democratic-run jurisdictions of being part of a Trump plan to subvert the process. Keep repeating the old chestnut about voter ID laws “suppressing the minority vote.”
Democrats insist that minorities cannot be expected to have valid IDs like other citizens.”
–Robert Knight, The Washington Times (October 25, 2026).
California is not the only place where illegal aliens vote, encouraged by elected officials. Under Governor Abigail Spanberger (D. Va.), the Commonwealth of Virginia has become a sanctuary State, where illegal aliens are treated better than citizens. Illegal aliens are catered to, given benefits paid for by Virginia citizens, and when caught in criminal activity, are given far more lenient treatment than that afforded a Virginia citizen. This is nuts.
“I don’t know how the midterm elections will turn out; I think Republicans will do better than expected, but who knows? – yet there’s one thing I’m entirely sure of. This election cycle has, at least, allowed us Republicans to rid ourselves of some of the biggest hacks any political party has ever had the misfortune to be saddled with. Whether we beat them in primaries or scared them out of primaries entirely, they’re gone, and they aren’t coming back. When this is over, we will be rid of that fraud Thomas Massie, the insipid Thom Tillis, the tiresome Bill Cassidy, and the Kinzingeresque Ukrainian fetishizer Don Bacon. Also past his sell-by date is that Bushesque phony John Cornyn, whose absolutely disgraceful post-primary defeat conduct has utterly vindicated the Texas Republicans who rejected him, whether Ken Paxton beats the blasphemous homunculus or not.
These are just the biggest names on the marquee among the big pains in the keister. A lot of other alleged conservatives are going away too. Where’s Dan Crenshaw at? Oh yeah, the unemployment line next to Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Purges are neither inherently good nor bad; used promiscuously, they can devastate a movement. But failing to purge anyone at all can also devastate a movement. Instead, the issue is whether a given individual or group should be purged for the good of the whole. If you are looking to purge someone who is an 80 percent ally and doesn’t mess with you, you are probably not playing it smart. But if you choose to purge people you can never rely on, who always side with the enemy, and who, when it comes time for them to swallow their pride and vote for the people who beat them in a primary, refused to do it, well, you have nothing to lose purging their sorry butts.”
–Kurt Schlicter.
Just because you have an “R” after your name does not mean that you are a conservative. Just because you have an “R” after your name does not mean that you will support the Republican Party on crucial issues in Congress. Just because you have an “R” after your name does not mean that you will faithfully adhere to the Constitution. Just because you have an “R” after your name does not mean that you are not a Democrat at heart.
Aside from the names mentioned above by Kurt Schlicter, let us examine some more so-called “conservatives” who are sitting in the cheap seats jeering and throwing brickbats at the Republican Party. Bill Kristol, Stephen Hayes, Mona Charen, Jonah Goldberg, David French, Rich Lowry, Kathleen Parker, Peggy Noonan, and George Will. All of these folks were “conservative” when they had influence in the Republican Party. But once Republicans started actually accomplishing policy victories on issues that they had been promising for decades, they pushed back. Not so fast, they said. Let’s not do too much. Do we really want to cut taxes? Shouldn’t we try to improve, rather than abolish Obamacare? Is toppling unfriendly dictators in Central and South America a bridge too far? Should we not be more open to allowing illegal aliens to remain in our country? And Iran really does not want a nuclear weapon; but if it does, why not allow it have one? France has nuclear weapons. Iran will never use its nuclear weapons. Yeah, right. And Hamas and Hezbollah are not terrorist groups.
And let’s not forget George W. Bush. George W. Bush was a self-described “compassionate conservative”. Why the adjective? Is not conservatism inherently compassionate? Or is “compassionate conservative” just a different version of his father’s “kinder and gentler”? And look how that turned out.
How about Mitt Romney? He was “severely conservative”. What the hell did that mean? Well, we learned during his time in the United States Senate that it meant anything BUT conservative.
Finally, there is the late John McCain. He touted himself as a “Reagan conservative”. He was not. He went back to Arizona to campaign, and promised to build “the dang fence” [the Southern Border Wall]. But in Washington, he voted not to fund the “dang fence”. And when Republicans were on the verge of repealing Obamacare, a program that is not only unconstitutional (I don’t care what Chief Justice John Roberts thinks, he is wrong), but has also made healthcare far more scarce and expensive, who voted against repeal, causing it to fail? Why, Senator John McCain!
The Stupid Party remains a work in progress. Voters can assist the work by paying attention, participating in the process, and not being fooled by what people tell you. Look at what they do.
“The reality is that nothing is free, especially government benefits. Somebody paid for those, and those people are probably getting tired of paying and having their heritage trashed.
How many times have you heard a European talk about his “free stuff” — the free health care, free college, generous social benefits, and those amazing government pensions that allow early retirement? It’s nice, as I remind them, but someone is paying for it…and the bill is finally here!
Furthermore, it feels as though the people getting these benefits don’t appreciate that someone else is working to pay the taxes or that the U.S. is providing defense through NATO. It’s all very nice until the bill comes due, or the people supposed to pay have moved to another country with lower tax rates.”
–Silvio Canto, Jr., opining on the source of the violence and riots in France, and predicting the collapse of European societies.
Think it cannot happen here? Think again. The United States is barreling toward a fiscal crisis that no one in Washington is willing to address.

Great messaging. You are, once again, SPOT-ON, Brother Glen.
