Today is All Saints Eve, or if you prefer, All Hallow’s Eve, or as it is popularly known, Halloween. It is the Vigil of All Saints Day, a remembrance of the departed from this Earth. In some communities, congregants will attend Church services, and place lighted candles on the departed’s graves. Typically, celebrants abstain from eating meat, and instead enjoy apples, potato pancakes, and other vegetable creations.
The secular celebration of Halloween involves costumes, trick or treating, and parties. People carve Jack-o-Lanterns, bob for apples, and play pranks. There is an entire genre of cult horror films to be watched. And of course there is the greatest Halloween film of all time, It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!
Whether you observe services in church, or pass out candy to trick or treating children, or some combination of all, please enjoy a safe and joyous Halloween.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth fired Lt. General Brett Sylvia. Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) erupted in howls of outrage, claiming it was due to his opposition to this or that policy, Hegseth’s insecurities, etc., etc. No. General Sylvia was fired for leaking classified materials to the press. And he is being referred for criminal prosecution.

It will lead to devastating escalation and the likely destruction of our commitment to the rule of law . . . the plan they have developed will lead, in my view, to a prolongment and escalation of this war that would be devastating for our security interests.”
–Senator Chris Murphy (D. Ct.), commenting on a briefing he claimed to have received from the Trump Administration on future engagement plans in the Iranian conflict.
Sigh. First, of all, Chris Murphy is a serial liar. Second, he is a security risk, because as a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, he is supposed to keep his #*$%& mouth shut about military briefings he receives. Third, he is clearly not cheering for U.S. victory in Iran. Fourth, and finally, does anyone really believe that the Trump Administration would brief this traitor on anything of consequence?
Campaigning for Democrats, former President Barack Obama has made some wild claims, including his repeated condemnation of the Justice Department’s investigation into Representative Ilhan Omar (R. Mn.) or whatever her real name may be. Mr. Obama has been particularly dismissive of the suggestion that the Somali shrew may have married her brother in order to commit immigration fraud. Well, well, well . . . it turns out that the Department of Justice–under then President Obama–determined that she in fact did marry her brother in order to commit immigration fraud, but realized that the statute of limitations for prosecution had passed. Hmmmmm.
Is Barack Obama a liar? Oh, yes. Yes indeed.

For some time now, Alaska Republicans have accused former Representative Mary Peltola and her campaign of soliciting and propping up a Senate candidate named “Dan Sullivan” in order to confuse voters, as the incumbent U.S. Senator is Dan Sullivan (R. Ak.). Mary Peltola and her campaign officials have repeatedly denied and dismissed such allegations. But now The New York Times has exposed Mary Peltola and her campaign officials as liars. The Peltola campaign did solicit the faux Dan Sullivan to run as a Senate candidate for the express purpose of confusing the electorate. The Peltola campaign funneled tens of thousands of dollars to the faux Dan Sullivan for the express purpose of propping up his campaign (such as it is). The Times published text messages and emails from Peltola campaign officials evidencing their scheme.
So what was Mary Peltola’s reaction to the Times story exposing her scheme and lies? She doubled down, calling it a distraction in an effort to sell newspapers. Meanwhile, both the U.S. Department of Justice and the Alaska Governor’s office have opened investigations into Mary Peltola.
So many questions. Why does the Times so hate Democrat Mary Peltola that they would run this story before the November election? Where is the faux Dan Sullivan, who has mysteriously disappeared, leaving no trace of his whereabouts. And will Mary Peltola drop out of the race, and report to the Anchorage Women’s Detention Center? After all, according to her own standards, she is a criminal deserving of imprisonment!
“We are hoping for the House, but to get the Senate on top of it, next level, game-changing, extraordinary. So, I’m excited about this. When you talk about Trump’s next two years with that Democratic House and Senate, hey, guess what? There’s investigations, there’s hearings, there’s subpoenas, there’s questioning. We’re putting the media spotlight on everything he’s doing and trying to stop his ‘flood the zone’ strategy of doing so much bad stuff in such a short time that you can’t even keep track of it. And so now you’ll have congressional oversight committees and subcommittees and commissions. So that’s going to tie things up to at least not that we want to stop the workings of the good part of government, but stop the corruption, stop the abuse and things that he’s getting away with now. A fraction of them would have been national scandals for years and taken out here.”
–New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D.), gleefully speculating about the investigation and impeachment of the President and members of his Cabinet.
Immediately after spewing this diatribe against the President, Governor Hochul did express hope that she could work with the President on issues important to New York State. Yeah, good luck with that, Kathy.
Eleven (11) Illinois counties around Chicago and Cook County want to secede from the State, and form their own State of West Illinois. Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker (D. Il.) is not amused.
An Illinois man sent a still yet to be determined white powder to members of Congress. Police were able to arrest the man, as he used his own return mailing address.

Wow. Just wow. We wonder what Commiela thinks about that?
Under current Virginia law, a felon may file a petition with the Governor seeking the restoration of his civil rights (i.e., the right to vote, serve on a jury, etc.). The Governor is supposed to review the petition and make a decision. To date, in her 1st year, Governor Abigail Spanberger (D.) has granted 66,000 felon petitions, which raises the question of whether anyone is actually reviewing these petitions prior to approval. But now Governor Spanberger has answered that question, by restoring the civil rights of “Betty No Last Name”. Hmmmm. She has erased all doubts; no one is reviewing these felon petitions.
On Tuesday’s ballot is a question for amending the Virginia Constitution by automatically restoring a felon’s civil rights. What is the point in voting on this proposed Constitutional Amendment? Abigail has already implemented it. And thank you “Betty No Last Name” for letting us know.

Virginia population is 18% black. Blacks constitute 88% of Governor Spanberger’s Cabinet. There is 1 white woman in the Cabinet. There are no white men in the Cabinet. White men constitute more than 30% of Virginia’s population. Governor Spanberger has no clue what “diverse” means.
Actually, when a Democrat says “diverse”, what they mean is no whites need apply. Sad but true.

Glendale, California charges a $2,000.00 fee to persons who wish to exercise their right “to keep and bear arms”. That has got to be unconstitutional.
A Leftist gun control activist spray painted an anti-gun slogan on New York City’s 9-11 memorial to the departed. In broad daylight. What an a$$!
At the University of Utah, campus College Republicans set up a table in the quad, and were peacefully talking with interested students when a man–Amber Grace–who thinks he is a woman told them to “shut up” and “get out”. When one of the College Republicans rhetorically inquired if they did not enjoy the freedom of speech, Amber Grace replied “no”, and stated that he wanted all Republicans to be “shot in the street”. Amber Grace then physically attacked the College Republicans, ripping the shirt off of one of them. A perfect example of Leftist tolerance.
Dartmouth College’s Provost resigned after it was learned that he used Artificial Intelligence to write an article condemning AI, and its use by students. Sigh. You cannot make this stuff up.
The Federal Trade Commission is suing Dollar General stores, over claims it overcharged its customers. Oh, my! Say it ain’t so!

Former professional and collegiate football coach, and the winningest coach at the University of Hawaii, June Jones, has died at age 73. Before returning to Hawaii, Coach Jones revived the SMU football program, leading the Mustangs to 4 consecutive bowl games. He was also the pioneer of the “run and shoot” offense. R. I. P.
