“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying good-bye so hard.”
“If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart and I’ll stay there forever.”
–Winnie The Pooh
Today is my Father’s birthday. If he were alive, he would be 104 years old. And still telling me what to do. Sigh. I really miss him telling me what to do.
The CATO Institute released its annual States’ Freedom Rankings. The #1 State for freedom was Arizona. Bringing up the rear are Hawaii (#50) and New York (#49). Sadly, the Commonwealth of Virginia came in at #31, one spot worse than Oregon, for goodness sakes, and which is properly blamed on the Democrats and Governor Abigail Spanberger (D.). But what is South Carolina’s excuse, which came in at #46? And North Carolina was #35! What the . . . English and I may end up moving to Texas. Or Idaho. Florida is too humid and has alligators. Arizona is just too damn hot.
Oakland, California is that State’s worst run city. Rampant crime, homelessness, poor public services, and high taxes contribute to an unstable and unsafe locality. But Mayor Barbara Lee (D.) is doing something about it. She is proposing to give $110,000.00 salary increases to city councilmen. Yep, an ADDITIONAL $110,000.00 to the people who created the problem in the 1st place.
Yuriana Julia Pelaez Calderon disappeared last year from her Los Angeles, California home. Outraged immigration activists staged massive protests, accusing ICE of kidnapping and “disappearing” Miss Calderon. The ensuing protests were often violent, injuring people and vandalizing property. Eventually, Miss Calderon reappeared, claiming she had absconded from ICE custody. Uh, huh. Now Miss Calderon admits it was all a hoax, designed by her and some associates to gin up anti-ICE sentiment. She made this admission while pleading guilty to federal criminal charges in Los Angeles U.S. District Court. The prosecution is seeking the maximum sentence, after which Miss Calderon will be deported.
U.S. Senate candidate Angie Nixon (D. Fl.) told reporters that she was not sure if Cuba was ruled by a dictator. She did state that Cuba was poor due to the U.S. embargo (a lie), and that she would work to return the state of relations between the U.S. and Cuba to how it was when Obama was President (just stupid). Fortunately, Angie Nixon is highly unlikely to be in a position to do affect the countries’ relationship.
Representative Ralph Norman (R. S.C.) publicly stated that he would not “lift a finger” to help Senator Darline Nordone (R.) win her election. Representative Norman lost to Senator Nordone in the primary. As is common amongst those I refer to as “Bush Republicans”, if they do not win, they will not be loyal and gracious losers. Representative Norman was a longtime loyal South Carolina Republican . . . until he lost an election. Now he is just a bitter old man.
Senator Lisa Murkowski (R. Ak.) endorsed the Democrat candidate for Governor. She is such an awful human being.
With Republicans like Lisa Murkowski, Ralph Norman, John Cornyn, and anyone with the last name “Bush”, it is a wonder that any Republican wins any election anywhere.
“I am a proud and loyal Democrat. I served in President Clinton’s National Security Council and worked for Madeleine Albright at the State Department. I ran for Congress as a Democrat, have voted Democratic all my life, and expect to continue doing so. But I would never vote for Abdul El-Sayed. In my judgment, he does not represent the values of our party or our nation. I urge my fellow patriotic Democrats in Michigan to leave the Senate line blank or vote for Republican Mike Rogers.”
–Jamie Metzl.
Former Obama aide Jon Lovett urged Jewish Michiganders to vote for Abdul El-Sayed, saying voters have a “moral obligation” to support the Democratic U.S. Senate nominee in Michigan. “They should do it to protect themselves from antisemitism and rising hatred in America.” Huh?
“I don’t know why that matters. If they’re from freaking Europe and stuff and they got like, French passport, nobody gives a shit. But because he’s [Abdul El-Sayed] got an Egyptian one, everybody gives a shit.”
–Representative Rashida Tlaib (D. Mi.).
Actor Mandy Pantikin warned Jewish voters in Michigan that their only hope for residing safely in the United States was to vote for Abdul El-Sayed. Oh, my, what a lie!
Abdul El-Sayed keeps saying that he is not a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, kind of, and refuses to denounce the terrorist group. Well, if Mr. El-Sayed is not a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, why is there a picture of him with a group of Muslim Brotherhood members in New York City in 2022? Coincidence? Not a chance.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin Archbishop Jeffrey Grob was one of 12 Catholic Bishops who visited The White House last Thursday to discuss with the administration a number of matters important to the Church, including immigration enforcement, religious-worker visas, and human dignity. The meeting eventually took the group into the Oval Office, where they did something Catholic clergy have been known to do from time to time over the years: they prayed. With the president. When this event became publicly known, Archbishop Grob groveled and apologized. The Archbishop bent the knee to the Left for praying with the President of the United States. Sigh.
Richmond’s C.F. Sauer Company will now be known as Duke’s Mayonnaise Company. Two (2) great brands!
Blue Bell is reintroducing its beloved Christmas Cookies ice cream. Buy some Holland Koontz! Let me know how it tastes.
Noble and Brave Nation of Iran,
The Islamic Republic today is no longer the regime that ruled Iran one year ago. This regime is now weaker than ever before, and its missing leader and other ringleaders fear nothing more than the power of the Iranian people; they fear a nationwide and effective uprising that would end the life of this satanic regime.
This criminal sect and its terrorist IRGC have dragged our beloved homeland into war and endangered Iran’s very existence. The IRGC’s domination over the pillars of the country and the plundering of national resources are the primary causes of the worsening economic and security situation in Iran.
These scoundrels have left the people with neither bread, nor security, nor hope for the future. To preserve their power, they are willing to sacrifice Iran and the Iranian people.
We have plans both for overthrowing the Islamic Republic and for governing Iran afterward; a clear plan aimed at preserving the country’s security and stability during the transition period, guaranteeing the people’s fundamental freedoms, and meeting the essential needs of citizens.
To the military, law enforcement, and security forces: Join the nation and stand with the people on the day of Iran’s liberation to receive amnesty. But if you remain alongside the oppressors and participate in crimes against the people, you will be held accountable before the law and justice.
This time, I invite not only the military and government forces, but all Iranians from all walks of life who are fed up with this regime and seek a free and prosperous future for Iran, to connect directly with my team via Telegram at http://t.me/BarkhizIranBot and join the national campaign for Iran’s salvation today.
–Statement by Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi.
The Cuban Ambassador to the United Nations and his delegation rudely interrupted U.S. Ambassador Michael Waltz’s address to the General Assembly. The Cuban Ambassador went so far as to approaching the dais, and demanded that Mr. Waltz cease speaking. That did not work. But now the Cuban Ambassador need not listen anymore to Mr. Waltz, as the U.S. expelled him from our country, and put him on the next plane to Havana.
Flavio Bolsonaro, the disappointed presidential candidate in Brazil’s elections, fled that country ahead of arrest, and has been welcomed to the United States. Brazil is a socialist hellhole. Remember that when you go to the polls on November 3. Socialism is not freedom’s friend.
Israel’s Likud Party garnered the most votes in parliamentary elections, and Benjamin Netanyahu will seek to form another coalition government. Let’s hope he succeeds.
Southern Methodist University has hired its first lacrosse coach, Jim Mitchell. Jim Mitchell is the former offensive coordinator at Princeton. This looks to be a very good hire.
Every year there is the world’s biggest cocktail party, also known as the Georgia/Florida football game. It is usually played in Jacksonville, Florida, but due to renovations to the stadium there, it will be played in Atlanta. So what do the folks in Atlanta do with the world’s biggest cocktail party? They rebrand it. Why? How does this make sense? It does not.
“I love it here. I mean like I told you guys a lot of times — there’s not many people in college football history that gave up what I gave up to come here. I don’t care if it’s 15 years down the line, that never should be taken lightly. It’s certainly not taken lightly by me. I came here because I believe in this place and none of that has changed whatsoever.

When you’re a head coach of a blue-blood school, you have to be ready to weather the storms, the overly positive or the overly negative. Typically, what I’ve learned from doing this for a few years, I haven’t learned it all, but the truth typically lies somewhere in the middle. And that’s typically where it’s at even if you know that it’s going to sensationalize. And so my job is to stay steady.”
–USC head football coach Lincoln Riley, clearly begging to keep his job.
Actually, Lincoln, your job is to win. Just win. And if your team loses to Ohio State tomorrow, you might not have a job.
Congratulations to the Milwaukee Brewers on winning the World Series. The Brewers downed Tampa Bay 4-1.
