APRIL 30, 2026

This year–our country’s 250th–the State Department will be issuing commemorative passports, which will include a portrait of President Trump. Cue the Leftist meltdown! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

King Charles III spoke to a joint session of Congress. It was a measured, gracious, and well received speech. Just imagine, a British monarch joining in the celebration of America’s 250th birthday!

I had the distinct honor and pleasure of attending a speech by then Prince Charles in Williamsburg, Virginia, at the College of William & Mary. He spoke on architecture. Before your eyes glaze over, believing the subject to be dull and dry, stop. It was a measured, informative, and well received speech. It was interesting. Say what you will, the British monarchy employs great speechwriters.

Did anyone else notice the complete absence of “No Kings” protests while an actual King was present in the United States? And did you see Democrat members of Congress, who refused to clap for the victims of illegal alien crimes, or the United States Olympic Hockey Team, standing and clapping for an actual King? Hmmmm.

David Morens, former senior advisor to Anthony Fauci, was indicted by the Department of Justice on criminal charges relating to his concealment and destruction of documents concerning the origins of the Kung Fu Flu. Let’s move on to Dr. Fauci, himself.

The Department of Justice also criminally indicted former FBI Director James Comey. Let’s hope for a little more success this time.

Representative Eugene Vindman (D. Va.) wants the federal government to regulate social media. For our protection of course.

Virginia’s U.S. Senators Kaine (D.) and Warner (D.) issued legislation that would eviscerate Americans’ rights to “keep and bear arms”. The legislation would, inter alia, restrict firearms purchases to 1 per month, involve the federal government in State domestic violence prosecutions, criminalize the failure to timely report lost or stolen guns, criminalize the failure to adequately secure firearms if minors reside in a home, criminalize the failure to adequately secure firearms in a motor vehicle, and ban all “assault weapons”. Sigh. It would be easier and cleaner to just repeal the Second Amendment.

So there you have it. Three (3) members of Virginia’s Congressional delegation want to infringe upon our First and Second Amendment rights. But I submit that it is unfair to blame Virginia for these tyrants. Mr. Kaine is from Minnesota. Mr. Warner is from Connecticut. Mr. Vindman is from Ukraine. And all were elected by those damn Yankees living in Northern Virginia.

Think about what damn Yankees have done to the Commonwealth of Virginia over the years. Because it is exactly what will happen to the whole United States if we don’t deport the illegal aliens, or, heaven forbid, a Democrat president or Congress reopens the Southern border.

Newly elected Representative Analilia Mejia (D. N.J.) hit the ground running, proposing legislation mandating a nationwide $25.00 minimum wage. Her commie constituents are cheering. But businesses and lower level employees are not. Because some jobs are just not worth $25.00 per hour.

Representative Ilhan Omar (D. Mn.) read a speech, wherein she condemned President Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act, noting that it had not been used since World War Eleven. Huh. She meant World War II, presumably. Maybe Representative Omar received her education at the Minneapolis “Learing Center”.

Why not make the minimum wage $100.00 per hour? After all, if we are making up numbers out of whole cloth . . . ?

Government has NO BUSINESS and NO AUTHORITY to impose a minimum wage on businesses. The perfect minimum wage? Zero dollars ($0.00).

The United States Supreme Court issued a major ruling yesterday, finding a Louisiana Congressional district to be unconstitutional. The federal district court had found Louisiana’s Congressional districts to be violative of the Voting Rights Act, as it only had 1 Congressional district that was populated by a majority of black voters. The district court ordered the Congressional districts be redrawn, to create a 2nd black majority district. The Supreme Court ruled this violated the Constitution and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

What the Supreme Court did was to make it much, much harder (if not impossible) to use race as a factor in drawing legislative districts. Which is as it should be. But Democrats are panicking. Because across the nation, particularly in the South, Democrats and federal courts have insisted that majority racial minority districts be created, presumably on the assumption that racial minorities will always vote for racial minority candidates, who tend to be Democrats. This presumption is repugnant to the notion of a color blind Constitution. It is immoral. It is racist.

The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit overturned a district court judge’s order prohibiting ICE’s use of crowd control munitions (tear gas, rubber bullets, etc.) in Portland, Oregon. WINNING!

Former Representative Eric Swalwell (D. Ca.) spent more than $192, 000.00 on domestic, commercial air travel in 2025. He also spent more than $500,000.00 on domestic hotel stays in 2025. And he used none of his own money.

The California Supreme Court unanimously slapped down the California Coastal Commission, ruling that once a locality approved development of coastal property, the CCC could not block it or demand changes. This is a pretty big deal. Since its inception, the CCC has been the bane of anyone owning property anywhere near the coast. Years ago, the CCC blocked the construction of a water desalination plant as being inconsistent with the coastal character; the plant was planned for an industrial area near Long Beach. The CCC has long been the Not In My Backyard actor in existence.

UCLA warned members of its student chapter of The Federalist Society not to identify any persons who engaged in the disruption of their recent event featuring the Department of Homeland Security’s general counsel. What the . . . ? Does the First Amendment not apply to a public college in California? It does. But apparently UCLA Law School fails to teach that principle.

“Our pastor, Dr. Jim Rigby, who I’ve known since I was two years old.  He married my parents, he baptized me, he is still my pastor today.  And he showed me what it means to act with courage from the pulpit.  He, in the 1990s, made the decision to ordain gay and lesbian clergy, to bless same-sex marriages.  He risked his own ordination.  He was put on trial by the National Presbyterian Denomination for those actions.  In the 2000s, Dr. Jim made the decision to allow an atheist to join our congregation, again setting off a firestorm within the church.”

–U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico (D. Tx.).

Well.  On last Sunday, the day following the latest attempted assassination of President Trump, Dr. Jim Rigby took to the pulpit to make jokes about the failed assassination of the President.  The congregation chuckled.  Then Dr. Jim Rigby lamented the Trump Administration’s “fascism” and attempts to return America back to the days of “slavery”.  To which, the congregation signaled their agreement.

Is this the “courage” Mr. Talarico learned from Dr. Rigby?  And on Sundays, does Dr. Rigby ever discuss Scripture?  Or does he use Sundays purely for Leftist political rallies?

“Well that sucks!”

–Social media post by the Sarasota, Florida Democrat Party, expressing its disappointment that the attempted assassination of President Trump was unsuccessful.

Chicago, Illinois Mayor Brandon Johnson (D.) confirmed that the city government discriminates in hiring on the basis of race. Care to guess who the victims of this discrimination are?

In Minneapolis, Minnesota, the FBI raided several private social agencies, looking for evidence of fraud. Governor Tampon Tim (D.), who enabled the fraud, at best, took credit for the federal operation. Chutzpah!

The Supreme Court of Virginia heard arguments over the redistricting. It did not go well for the Democrats. Perhaps it is because Virginia’s Attorney General’s Office did not argue the case, or even use private Virginia attorneys. No, no, no. Attorney General Jay Jones hired outside attorneys from . . . California. Ha, ha, ha, ha. As both a Virginia and a California attorney, I would never have allowed California attorneys to argue this case in Richmond. Never.

How bad was it? Bad. Virginia asked the Supreme Court to overturn the Tazewell County Circuit Court decision, so as to permit the referendum’s certification. In a 1 line order, unsigned and without dissent, the Supreme Court said “no”. Hmmmm.

On April 15, New York City Mayor Comrade Zohran Mamdani (D.) stood in front of a Manhattan building, and announced that he was going to “tax the rich”. The Manhattan building is owned by Ken Griffin, a billionaire and the CEO of Citadel, a successful hedge fund. Mr. Mamdani appeared to be taunting Mr. Griffin, and when accused of that, did not deny that that was absolutely what he was doing. Well . . .

Ken Griffin is not a happy camper. He employs 2,500 people at his New York headquarters, pays millions in taxes, and donates generously to charity in New York City. He was preparing to invest $6 billion in rehabbing a piece of real estate that would have created more than 6,000 construction jobs, and more than 15,000 permanent jobs. Now all of that is in jeopardy. Because Zohran Mamdani is not just a commie. Because Zohran Mamdani is a vindictive commie, who shows no respect or care for his city’s citizens who actually create wealth and prosperity for others.

United Airlines called off their proposed merger with American Airlines, after American rejected the idea out of hand. Good plan.

Shake Shack is adding a boneless barbecue baby back rib sandwich to its menu, as well as a macaroni-n-cheese side. Huh. Sounds like a glorified McRib sandwich and noodles.

Bahrain stripped 69 citizens of their citizenship as punishment for advocating for, and sympathizing, with Iran. Deport them all to Iran!

The United Arab Emirates announced it is leaving OPEC. Hmmm. Very interesting.

The United Nations named Iran as Vice-President of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Conference. Sigh. You cannot make this stuff up. U.S. OUT OF U.N. NOW!

The NCAA is expanding its basketball championship tournaments to 76 teams (both the men’s and the women’s). Why not just eliminate the regular season, put every team in the tournament, and just play it until only 1 team remains standing?
