MARCH 1, 2026 SUPPLEMENTAL

Iran’s militant and unyielding supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who ruled the Islamic Republic for more than three decades and oversaw an era of harsh internal repression and confrontation with the United States and Israel, has died following the Israeli strike in Tehran, as his compound was reduced to rubble. The world is now a better place.

Israel and the United States have done what needed to be done back in 1979. Many thanks to President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu for their leadership.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemns and denounces in strongest terms the blatant Iranian aggression and the flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan.  The Kingdom affirms its full solidarity with and unwavering support for the brotherly countries, and its readiness to place all its capabilities at their disposal in support of any measures they may undertake.  It also warns of the grave consequences resulting from the continued violation of states’ sovereignty and the principles of international law.”

–Statement released by Saudi Arabia, condemning Iran, and supporting the United States and Israel.

Did you catch that? The cradle of Islam is on our side, against the evil regime in Iran.

But not everyone is on our side.

“These strikes are a colossal mistake, and I pray they do not cost our sons and daughters in uniform and at embassies throughout the region their lives.  The Senate should immediately return to session and vote on my War Powers Resolution to block the use of U.S. forces in hostilities against Iran.”

–Senator Tim Kaine (D. Va.).

It is so embarrassing to have Tim Kaine as a Senator from the Commonwealth. He is not on the side of the American people. If Iran had gotten a nuclear weapon, and exploded it in downtown Manhattan, Senator Kaine would call for restraint by the United States.

The Commonwealth’s other Senator, Mark Warner (D. Va.), is also opposed to the President’s actions. Because he is a *#&! weenie. Poseur!

In the U.S. House of Representatives, Representatives Thomas Massie (R. Ky.) and Ro Khanna (D. Ca.) are trying to block Mr. Trump’s use of force against the United States. Two (2) more useless members of Congress, who do not have the best interests of the American people in mind.

“This war is unlawful.  It is unnecessary.  And it will be catastrophic.”

–Puddin’head.  Of course.

Representative Ilhan Omar (D. Mn.) accused Mr. Trump of “unilaterally dragging this nation into an illegal and unjustified war with Iran without congressional authorization, without a clear objective, and without any imminent threat to the United States.”  Representative Omar went on to state that “Iraq was attacked by the US during Ramadan and it sickening to know that the US is again going to attack Iran during Ramadan.  The US apparently loves to strike Muslim countries during Ramadan and I am convinced it isn’t what these countries have done to violate international law . . .”

Yes. How insensitive of the United States to attack a nation whose leaders vow “Death to America”, while they are celebrating . . . something.

“Today’s military strikes on Iran — carried out by the United States and Israel — mark a catastrophic escalation in an illegal war of aggression.  Bombing cities.  Killing civilians.  Opening a new theater of war.   Americans do not want this.  They do not want another war in pursuit of regime change.  They want relief from the affordability crisis.  They want peace.”

–Mayor Comrade Zohran Mamdani (D. N.Y.).

Why is he speaking?  Who gives a damn what he thinks?  He is the Mayor of New York City.  His authority ends at the Hudson River’s edge.

Almost as soon as the strikes on Iran were announced, demonstrations broke out across the United States. The usual suspects are naturally taking the side of Iran, against America. These demonstrations are being funded by the Red Chinese.

But not every Democrat is against the President, and the United States. There are a few–sadly, very few–who support American action against Iran.

“I don’t support the resolution, which would require us to completely abandon our allies.  It calls for the immediate remove of defensive weapons in the region.  The Administration returned to the practice of notifying Congress of a strike with Rubio briefing the Gang of 8 last week.  The strikes are an attempt to prevent further war, not to start one.”

–Representative Greg Landsman (D. Oh.).

Senator John Fetterman (D. Pa.), a staunch proponent of the U.S.-Israel partnership, said he also opposes a similar war powers vote in the Senate.

“We need to stand together to bring an end to terrorism and human rights violations. A regime that supports terror, destabilizes its neighbors, and aims to destroy other nations can’t be trusted.”

–Rep. Don Davis (D. N.C.).

Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D. N.J.) said the strikes were to “defend our national security” and that Iran posed an “existential threat” to the United States.

And there are others who support Israeli and American military action against the Iranian regime. In Iran, ordinary citizens are dancing in the streets for joy, even as planes fly overhead, and bombs explode. These people desire their freedom, and peace.

“Moments of destiny lie ahead of us.  Even with the arrival of this aid, the final victory will still be forged by our hands.  It is we, the people of Iran, who will finish the job in this final battle.  The time to return to the streets is near.  The aid that the President of the United States promised to the brave people of Iran has now arrived.  This is a humanitarian intervention; and its target is the Islamic Republic, its repressive apparatus, and its machinery of slaughter — not the country and great nation of Iran.  Now that the Islamic Republic is collapsing, my message to the country’s military, police, and security forces is clear: You have sworn an oath to protect Iran and the Iranian people — not the Islamic Republic and its leaders.”

–Crown Prince Rez Pahlavi.

At this early stage, it is not yet clear that the Ayatollahs’ reign will end. But this is the closest the Iranian people have come to that possibility since 1979, when the reign of terror began. All decent people should pray that the Persian people, who have contributed so much to the world’s history and culture, will finally be free. And that the forces that have made the Middle East so unstable are going to be held to account.

What Jimmy Carter “lost”, may President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu recover. May God Bless us all.
